This category is focused on photographs of animals. The animals featured in the photographs can be either wild animals or domesticated animals and any species can be the subject. Photographs with landscape and portrait orientation are acceptable, so feel free to pick whichever one works best for composition. Your photograph may contain as many animals as you can fit in view and the distance between the animal(s) and the camera does not matter as long as the animal(s) are easily recognizable and are the main focal point of the photograph. Photographs where the animal isn't recognizable will not be accepted for the “Best Photograph Of The Month” contest.
Still Life photographs depict still inanimate objects, typically in small groups. Any objects are allowed as long as they abide by all of the Online Photography Club official photograph submission rules. Any number of objects in the image are allowed if they all fit in the photograph. Similarly to the "animals" category, both landscape and portrait orientation photographs will be accepted. It is recommended that all of the objects in your still life photos are tied together by a cohesive and easy to identify theme that is appropriate for all audiences. People or animals cannot be included in a still life photograph submission, so please make sure your still life submissions contain only inanimate objects.
Outdoors photographs are any images taken in a natural outdoors environment. Outdoors photograph submissions can be photos of nature and/or manmade structures located outside in nature, such as statues. People or animals are allowed to be in the photographs, as long as they are not the main focal point of the image. Photographs taken in landscape orientation are recommended for this topic, but not required. If the photograph contains a statue or monument, please make sure that it is not offensive or controversial in any way. Photographs containing offensive or controversial monuments will not be accepted for any Online Photography Club competitions and/or any other usage on the club’s website.
